As I paint, I not only reside in this luminous world, I actively bring it into being. In this way, I have always created art for my own benefit: to ease my own suffering and the painful memories of war and violence that I witnessed as a child. However, while this work is therapeutic for me, the finished pieces also invite viewers to join me in exploring these beautiful worlds and celebrating the victory of light and color over darkness.
